In 2010 European legislation to lower the content of Volatile Organic Compounds in paints came into force, resulting in huge changes to the formulation of solvent based paints, varnishes and glazes – this will have major, long-term and far-reaching effects on the future maintenance and conservation of historic buildings.

Two students will be offered  free places at the conference.(7th June 2013 – London). Students who wish to apply for this should email info@traditionalpaintforum.org.uk.

A student will then be picked at random for the free place and the successful candidate will be contacted two weeks before the conference date. The successful student will be asked to write a review of the conference which will appear in our journal and on the website.
