{"id":993,"date":"2019-05-14T14:26:15","date_gmt":"2019-05-14T14:26:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/awards.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=993"},"modified":"2019-05-14T14:26:16","modified_gmt":"2019-05-14T14:26:16","slug":"national-churches-trust-2019-church-architecture-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/awards.ihbc.org.uk\/?p=993","title":{"rendered":"National Churches Trust &#8211; 2019 Church Architecture Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Nominations for the 2019\u00a0Church Architecture Awards are now open. \u00a0The awards, run by the National Churches Trust and the Ecclesiastical Architects and Surveyors Association, \u00a0are open to projects including new buildings, re-orderings, roof, spire or tower repairs and extensions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Presidents&#8217; Award is for the best new church buildings and new designs in church re-ordering, alterations or extensions.\u00a0Projects are eligible if they have been      completed within the last three years or after the Practical Completion stage in their development. The award is open to church buildings of all Christian denominations in the UK. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The King of Prussia Gold Medal is for\u00a0the best church conservation or repair projects.\u00a0The award is open to the architect or chartered surveyor on any scheme of      repair for a church or chapel of any Christian denomination in the UK, in use for regular worship, and over one hundred years old. The scheme must have been funded by a grant or loan from the National Churches Trust, or would have been eligible for such a grant or loan, and have been completed within the last three years. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The Young Church Architect or Surveyor of the Year recognises the contribution being made to church buildings by architects in the early stages of their career. It is given to young architect who has worked on a winning or shortlisted design      entered for The King of Prussia Gold Medal or the Presidents\u2019 Award. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nominations can be made online by completing a simple\nform <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalchurchestrust.org\/how-we-help\/2019-architecture-awards\">www.nationalchurchestrust.org\/how-we-help\/2019-architecture-awards<\/a>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The closing date is 1 July 2019.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A shortlist will be published in September and \u00a0the award ceremony will take place on 31 October 2019.  Judges include HRH The Duke of Gloucester and Revd Lucy Winkett.
