The Parochial Church Council (PCC) of St Edmund’s Church and the Buccleuch Living Heritage Trust (BLHT) have secured significant funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to conserve the Montagu Monuments in St Edmund’s Church, Warkton, Northants. The project will also set in place permanent access and learning arrangements for the public, professionals, pupils, students and the local community.
These four monuments are outstanding marble sculptures produced between 1750 and 1830 and set in a beautiful 18th century chancel purpose-built as an extension to a medieval Parish church.
